John Spencer
Born in Chicago and transplanted to Champaign as a young adult, John is the perfect blend of Chicago street-smarts mixed with Champaign hospitality. Originally educated to be a singer and music educator, John’s love of working with and helping people led him to spend 15+  years at a regional manufacter/distributor where he worked in sales before transitioning into web and content marketing. John has also worked for a variety of small companies, including auto repair, cleaning, restaurant, and many more. He really gets small businesses and what drives the people who run them.

Mindy Spencer
Born on the Gulf Coast and transplanted by her parents to Champaign as a pre-teen, Mindy spent much of her childhood planning to be a veterinarian. One semester into her education at the University of Illinois, Mindy discovered that although she still loved animals, she really loved business and economics. She is a double Illini, with a BS in environmental economics and an MBA in marketing and branding. She has spent her career working for large and small companies in C-U as a virtual walking marketing agency. She has experience in branding, web marketing, strategic planning, communications, copy and technical writing, event planning, PR, fundraising, layout and design, corporate engagement, operational management, and more.

We are driven by a desire to help our clients affordably meet and exceed their small business goals. You name it, we probably have experience doing it. We want to be a one-stop-shop for your mom-and-pop.

When we aren’t making marketing magic happen, we are either chasing our kids, gardening, or traveling. Here we are at the Biltmore, rubbing elbows with the Vanderbilts.
